Dr. Mark S. Laska is the founder and CEO of Great Ecology & Environments, Inc., a 9-year-old ecological habitat restoration and sustainable consulting firm with offices in NY, CT and CA. He is also the founder and Managing Partner of Ecology Venture Partners, LLC, a business that invests in ecological assets. He has 25 years experience as an aquatic ecologist with expertise in wetland and fisheries habitat restoration, permitting and regulatory compliance, sustainable and green design and real estate development, management consulting from an environmental perspective and fundraising for early stage business ventures. He has experience in Central America working on a postdoctoral assignment in Panama, and then teaching tropical biology at Organization for Tropical Studies, Costa Rica. A member of Entrepreneurs Organization, he holds a doctorate in Ecology from Rutgers, a Masters in Ecology from Fordham and an undergrad degree from University of Colorado.
